What a year 2009 has been. The recession has had a massive effect worldwide on advertising budgets and more and more marketers have realised the cost effective benefits of the web. Print advertising’s loss has been web designs gain and the amazing community of web designers have grasped this by producing some wonderful work.
Well 2009 will be remembered for one thing, the year D-Lists emerged. Of course, I jest but I thought I would put together this showcase to highlight my favourite sites of the year. I have been through all 33 weekly web design posts and picked out my favourite, creating an amazing array of lovely web designs.

Well seeing as it’s Christmas over the past few weeks I have been searching for sites that have displayed the festive spirit and created sites with a touch of the Holidays about them. This was much harder than I thought it would be and I didn’t manage to find quite as many as I’d hoped. I’d love to hear about any that you may have seen.
