A showcase of sites displaying twitter feeds
Twitter has saturated such a huge percentage of the design community in recent months. All you have to do these days is put Twitter in your blog post and you’re guaranteed to increase your sites visits. (Not the reason I’m writing this…honest.)
Anyway, Twitter has become so much a part of the design culture that nearly every new portfolio or blog is trying to incorporate it into their site. Some, have chosen to keep it simple and include just a link to their twitter page allowing people who decide they want to to follow them. However, some sites are taking advantage of Twitter’s very simple API to pull in their latest tweets onto the blog/portfolio.
The jury is still out for me if doing this has any more impact than a simple follow me link. I would say that either can be effective as long as they are well designed and catch the viewers attention.
I have put together a showcase of some of the best inclusions of twitter in recent weeks, to give you some ideas if you are thinking of including the same on your website.
I’d love to know what option you have chosen for your website and if including it on your site has increased your follower count so please leave a comment with your choice.

Nice collection of examples Mike. I’ve actually just taken the decision to remove my Twitter feed from my blog (shortboredsurfer.com) and just have a ‘follow me on Twitter’ link instead.

Nice compilation.
I’ve had a feed on my site for a while, but have recently resorted to using Simplepie to fetch the tweets because I’m much more comfortable in PHP than JS. I can also control the markup the way I’d like.
